Knowledge and business-system connections

We assess the content the agent needs, its ownership and how it is maintained. Depending on the selected agent experience and environment, this may involve approved SharePoint content, public reference websites, supported documents or other agreed sources. File formats, indexing, retrieval behaviour and connector availability are checked for the actual configuration; support in one upload or connector route is not assumed to apply to another.

Tools that read information and tools that change records need different controls. The design records which connections are used, whose permissions apply, what data can be accessed and when a person must approve or complete a step. Existing Power Automate or Power Apps workflows are included only where agreed.

Testing and release

Testing covers useful answers as well as missing evidence, ambiguous instructions, access restrictions and failed workflows. We compare results with agreed expectations and record limitations and unresolved issues. A response that sounds convincing is not sufficient evidence that it is accurate or suitable for a business decision.

For an agreed GitHub Copilot harness configuration, we assess the available Preview and evaluation features in the customer’s environment. Preview features, supported channels and release requirements are checked before inclusion. Publishing follows the agreed acceptance process; later changes require appropriate testing and release control.

Ownership after go-live

The handover identifies the owners of instructions, knowledge, connections, usage monitoring and support. It covers how to review failures, manage staff or permission changes, update source material and test a revised version. Ongoing monitoring and maintenance arrangements are agreed separately.

Licensing, usage and scope

Microsoft subscriptions, Copilot Credits, environment capacity and connected services are assessed separately from implementation fees. Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot harness billing includes building, testing and evaluating as well as live use. Agree the expected usage, budget responsibility and monitoring before development begins.

Availability depends on the selected agent experience, tenant, region, licensing and Microsoft’s current product terms. No configuration guarantees accurate answers, uninterrupted operation or regulatory compliance. The organisation retains responsibility for access decisions, business approvals and appropriate review of outputs.
