SAC SST App for Business Central
SCSB's SAC SST App, part of SCSB's Dynamics 365 Business Central app range, supports approved SST workflows, including tax mapping and exception review.
Connect with usSST workflow support for Dynamics 365 Business Central
The SAC SST App is designed to support controlled sales and service tax workflows in Dynamics 365 Business Central. It can help Malaysian organisations apply approved tax mappings, review exceptions, reconcile tax data and prepare information for SST reporting.
SAC is SCSB's range of applications for Dynamics 365 Business Central. The SAC SST App is developed and supported by SNCO Consulting Sdn Bhd; it is not a Microsoft product.
The app does not determine an organisation's legal obligations. SST treatment depends on the transaction, registration position, current rates, exemptions and Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) requirements. The organisation and its tax adviser remain responsible for approving tax decisions and submissions.
What the SAC SST App can support
- Tax-code mapping for approved goods, services and transaction types.
- Rate and effective-date configuration based on the organisation's documented treatment.
- Exception review for missing classifications, expired evidence, manual overrides and unusual tax combinations.
- Threshold-monitoring alerts using the rules and measurement periods approved for the relevant activity.
- Reconciliation of taxable transactions, tax amounts and adjustments to the general ledger.
- Preparation of supporting data for SST-02 review and submission.
- Audit evidence showing configuration changes, approvals and exception resolution.
Thresholds and tax treatments can differ by activity. The app should be configured from an approved tax decision register rather than from one universal threshold or a generic rate table.
Implementation scope
Discovery and decision mapping
SCSB reviews the entities, registrations, goods, services, transaction locations, exemptions, taxable periods and reporting requirements in scope. Unresolved tax questions are recorded separately from system requirements so that configuration does not proceed on unapproved assumptions.
Configuration and data preparation
The implementation maps approved treatments to Business Central tax business groups, product groups, posting combinations and effective dates. SCSB also helps identify master-data gaps affecting customer, supplier, item, service or exemption records.
Scenario testing
Testing covers representative and adverse cases, including standard and reduced rates, exemptions, credit notes, foreign currency, deposits, transition dates, missing data and manual overrides where relevant. Expected results are compared with posted entries, reporting extracts and the organisation's approved treatment.
Controlled go-live and support
Go-live planning assigns responsibility for configuration access, daily exceptions, reconciliations, return preparation and regulatory monitoring. Delivery timing depends on data quality, transaction variety, entity count, customisations, integrations and the availability of approved tax decisions.
Operational controls
- Restrict tax-code and mapping changes to authorised users.
- Record the source and effective date for each approved treatment.
- Review failed, unusual and manually overridden transactions.
- Reconcile SST reports to the general ledger before return preparation.
- Retain invoices, adjustments, calculations and approval evidence.
- Monitor current MySST publications and assess whether configuration changes are required.
Dashboards and automated checks can improve consistency, but they do not prove that the underlying tax treatment is correct. Management review and documented tax decisions remain essential.
Commercial scope and terms
Implementation and subscription scope depend on the Business Central environment, entities, transaction types, required reports, integrations, data remediation and support model. Contact SCSB for the current proposal, pricing and terms. Any demonstration, trial, refund, service level or update commitment is governed by the signed proposal and agreement.
Why work with SCSB
SCSB combines Business Central configuration, data mapping, testing, user training and post-go-live support in one implementation process. The engagement is led by the organisation's approved requirements and operating controls, with Microsoft technology used as the supporting platform.
